Andover, Ohio, October 01, 2018 - Andover Public Library is proud to welcome Maria Firkaly as the newest addition to their staff. Maria will take over the duties as the Community Relations Coordinator. The Community Relations Coordinator identifies, develops, and implements all marketing and promotional strategies for the Andover Public Library in Ohio and works closely with library staff to promote programs and events. "I am excited to be working with such a fabulous group of people in an amazing community.", says Maria Firkaly, "I look forward to helping the Andover Public Library continue to connect with our membership and grow to meet their changing needs. I see the library as a community hub with great possibilities."
Maria brings over 13 years' experience in nonprofit development and marketing. In her new position, Maria will promote community awareness of library services and programs through planning and appropriate communication with media, schools, area organizations, local businesses, and library staff.

Founded in 1935, the Andover Public Library serves the Pymatuning Valley School District and surrounding communities. Andover Public Library is committed to enhancing and broadening the lives of the community by offering contemporary materials in a variety of formats, auxiliary support for educational skills, access to research materials and reference information, and activities and programming. The library offers a tech savvy makerspace with a 3D printer, numerous adult and youth programs throughout the year, and family friendly special events and speaker presentations. The Andover Public Library is part of the CLEVNET Library consortium which provides access to over 10,000,000 books, music, and videos. The Andover Public Library membership exceeds 4,000 annually.
