The Board of Trustees of Andover Public Library, Andover, Ohio is seeking an energetic leader with a strong commitment to public service, an excellent communicator with strong written and verbal communication skills, and have an open-door policy for both staff and patrons. The Director is responsible for administration of all aspects of library services and is subject to direction by the Board of Library Trustees. The Director will work assertively with library, local school, town agencies, and community groups to promote library/community relations and mutually beneficial partnerships.
Andover Public Library is located at 142 West Main Street in Andover, Ohio 44003. Andover is about 65 miles east of Cleveland on the Ohio/Pennsylvania line, and 30 miles south of Lake Erie. Andover is a small village in the southeastern corner of Ashtabula County.

As a School District Library, Andover Public Library serves Pymatuning Valley Local School District, which serves 7 townships and the Village of Andover. It has an appointed board of seven community members, an annual circulation of 100,000 to 120,000 items, and an 8,610 square foot building, and an annual budget of approximately $330,000.
A Master of Library Science or Educational Technology degree is preferred, but candidates with requisite experience and education will be considered. Qualifications include at least 3 years of library or non-profit management experience, including human resource management, budget formulation and overall fiscal management, long-range planning and marketing as well as grant-seeking. The applicant must be versed in current library technology and library operations, as well as electronic and internet innovations and security principles, be willing to participate in evening or weekend activities and comfortable with public speaking. Being active in local library organizations and the American Library Association is a plus.
Salary range is $35,000 to $50,000, dependent on qualifications and experience. The library offers a competitive benefit package and is an equal opportunity employer.
