Celebrate National Library Week April 9 - April 15 and transform your ideas about the Library. The Andover Public Library joins libraries in schools, campuses and communities nationwide in celebrating National Library Week, a time to highlight the value of libraries, librarians and library workers.
Libraries are often the heart of their communities, deeply committed to the places where their patrons live, work and study. Libraries are trusted places where everyone in the community can gather to reconnect and reengage with each other to enrich and shape the community and address local issues. The Andover Public Library serves the Pymatuning Valley School District by providing many services to the community. "The library embraces th entire community, offering unlimited opportunities for personal growth and lifelong learning," said director Susan Hill. "Libraries level the playing field for people of any age who are seeking the information and access to technologies that will improve their quality of life."
Andover Public Library is celebrating National Library Week by forgiving fines on returned overdue library materials. Book drawings will be held daily. Enter your name in a drawing to win a Kindle Fire! The movie "Sing" will be shown on Friday, April 14 at 4PM for the whole family along with free popcorn.
