Andover Public Library celebrated Banned Books Week September 25 - October 1. It is an annual event celebrating the freedom to read. It highlights the value of free and open access to information. Banned Books Week brings together the book community; librarians, booksellers, publishers, journalists, teachers and readers of all types, in shared support of the freedom to seek and express ideas, even those some consider unorthodox or unpopular. It also draws national attention to the harms of censorship.
The Shredded Book Contest was won by Nancy Davis.
The Children's Contest was won by Stuart Jenick.
The Facebook Photo Contest was won by Claire Anderson.
Congratulations Banned Book Week Winners!!
