Explore Earth: Our Changing Planet Coming August 16

Explore Earth: Our Changing Planet is a traveling exhibition for libraries. Andover Public Library is the only Explore Earth location in Ohio. We will display the exhibit from August 16 through October 13, 2017 in our Library.


Explore Earth is part of the STAR Library Education Network (STAR_Net) led by the National Center for Interactive learning at the Space Science Institute. Exhibit partners include the American Library Association, The Lunar and Planetary Institute, and Afterschool Alliance. Explore earth is supported through a grant from the National Science Foundation.


Andover Public Library will have numerous events and programs on our exhibit theme, including a Grand Opening Celebration August 16 with Judy Semroc of the Cleveland Museum of Natural History (view exhibit 5-6 pm, have refreshments, see Judy Semroc speaking at 6 pm).

Explore Earth Exhibit

Andover Public Library is happy to have been chosen to display a great exhibit about our earth including an array of ten programs. Explore Earth was organized by the Space Science Institute's National Center for Interactive Learning, the American Library Association Public Programs Office, and Lunar and Planetary Institute and the Afterschool Alliance, and supported by a national Science Foundation Grant. Andover Public Library is one of 14 locations for "Explore Earth: our Changing Planet" and the only Ohio location.
